Summer Sneaker Design Camp (Ages 10+)

Design it. Create it. Bring it to life.

This isn't your average summer camp.

Over four days, students will experience the complete sneaker design process from concept to finished custom sneakers. They'll learn how professional designers gather inspiration, create digital mockups in Procreate, customize real sneakers using paint and fabrics, and present their final creations just like a real design studio.

Whether they're already creative or just getting started, this camp is designed to build confidence, teach new skills, and turn ideas into wearable art.

Please Note: Sneakers are not included with camp registration. Students may bring their own new leather sneakers or purchase a pair through NVRSTK before camp begins.

Daily Schedule

Monday

Inspiration & Design Thinking

Students begin by learning how professional sneaker designers develop ideas.

They'll explore:

• Famous sneaker collaborations
• Design thinking
• Creative research
• Sneaker anatomy
• Sketching concepts
• Building digital mood boards

By the end of the day, each student will have multiple original sneaker concepts ready for development.

Tuesday

Designing in Procreate

Students bring their sketches into the digital world.

They'll learn:

• Procreate basics
• Layers
• Brushes
• Color palettes
• Sneaker templates
• Digital rendering

With one-on-one coaching, every student will finish a professional digital sneaker mockup ready to customize.

Wednesday

Bringing Designs to Life

Now the real customization begins.

Students will learn:

• Surface preparation
• Professional sneaker painting
• Clean edge techniques
• Layering colors
• Fabric application
• Material placement
• Finishing methods

By the end of the day, the majority of the sneaker customization will be complete.

Thursday

Finishing & Sneaker Showcase

The final day is all about the details.

Students will learn:

• Basic hand sewing
• Decorative stitching
• Final touch-ups
• Protective finishing
• Product photography
• Presentation skills

To finish the week, everyone will present their creative journey during our Sneaker Showcase and receive a Certificate of Completion.
